Sewing Groups

Sewing trainers issued training in various communities from the rural and semi-rural areas of KwaZulu Natal. Groups were formed and most registered their businesses with the aim of growing as organizations. Others managed to establish successful businesses within the fashion industry which includes owning boutiques. Site visitations are conducted as means of issuing support and motivation.

Nondweni is a rural area in the North of KwaZulu Natal. Nondweni group consists of a number of individuals that are driven and jointly working together to change their financial standing. They are a beamer of light in a place where one could easily get demotivated. Through the organization, they accumulated skills in upholstery and sewing. They are currently supplying school uniforms to a various number of schools. They also make more clothing items and sell them to individuals and stores.

Dumbe is a semi-rural area that is situated in the North of KwaZulu Natal. With the high rise in the community showing involvement, more classes were conducted. A number of groups are operating in Dumbe while others focus more on style, others supply uniforms and other garments to various organizations. Through our organizations, they accumulated sewing skills and an opportunity to succeed.

Mvunyane is a rural area situated in the North of KwaZulu Natal. Through the organization, they accumulated skills in sewing, beadwork and upholstery. They make church uniforms, bags and beadworks as means of generating an income. They also create bead pieces and hire out and sell them. They train more individuals as means of generating an income and including more people in the organization.

Mondlo is a rural area situated in the North of KwaZulu Natal. They are a group of individuals who possess great designing skills. They create designer wears for events and also make uniforms for churches. With the high rise in crime in the area of Mondlo, such contributive organizations will offer opportunities to invest in the right areas.

Sewing trainers are to steer their participants towards direction of success by empowering them and give guidance towards making money and running profitable businesses.

A number of people who received sewing lessons live in rural areas. Most individuals and groups that received sewing lessons became successful within the fashion industry.
