Sfiso Wonderboy Nxumalo
I’m a young man from a rural area of Phongolo named Nsiligwane. I specialize in Poultry farming and crop plantation. I recently entered the pig farming business. I supply chickens to local entrepreneurs in nearby towns which includes Vryheid and Piet Retief. I also supply vegetables and chickens in my area. Yebozululand assisted and introduced me to various ways of running a profitable business which includes establishing a business, markets and trends, registering a company, maintaining a business and pricing. I was in an environment where curiosity for new ideas were fostered. This motivated me to further my studies and received a certificate from NYDA, then received funding. Like any business, I do have challenges but my experience and training from Yebozululand enabled me to come up with the best strategies, to mitigate the problems.

Solomzi Mantshule
I’m a young agripreneur from the rural areas of Eastern Cape in Matatiele named Mvenyane. I currently operate my agricultural business in Mvenyane and specialize mostly in Poultry farming and plant farming. I did my in-service training at Yebozululand Community Development Center where I served as the agricultural mentor and then progressed to being the Agricultural Manager. I have always been passionate about agriculture and Yebozululand gave me the experience, exposure and resources I needed to being this successful person I am today. I was exposed to different farming methods through site visitations conducted and learnt multiple ways of generating an income through agriculture. Through Yebozululand, I managed to establish my business, with the funding I had received and afforded me the whole structure for my poultry business. I also received donation in the form of a water tank, chicken feed, equipment for chicken structure, a prepaid electrical meter and a hundred small chickens, I supply my produce to local businesses which includes street vendors and locals. My business is productive and profitable. I managed to use some of my earnings to further develop my business. Harsh weather conditions affect our businesses and we strive throughout such issues. I plan to expand my business by adding more layers and build more poultry structures.

Fikile Zungu
My name is Fikile Zungu, a lady from the rural areas of Eshowe named Dumayo which is located in the province of KwaZulu Natal. I own a creche and running my agricultural business in the same area. I specialize in crop plantation and own a nursery in the same site. I supply food for local shops, street vendors and a town a few kilometers from ours named Mandeni. I have made friends at Yebozululand who supported me and are behind the successful businesses owned by me today. They reinforced my love for agriculture and assisted me establish my business. Yebozululand’s Agricultural mentors were sent to our area to train us on all the fundamentals of agriculture (implementing efficient practices). I then received donation in a form of 10 000-liter tank and a fence for my garden. I receive money on a monthly basis from Yebozuluand which assist in the smooth operation of my businesses. I teach and encourage people on the importance of agriculture. I am looking to growing my businesses by planting more vegetables and building another nursery.
