Lethulwazi Crèche
The Lethulwazi Crèche in Dumayo was built in 2010 through donations from yebo Zululand Initiativen Germany. It is located on the property of the Catholic Outstation Church between Mbongolwane and Mandeni. 25-30 children aged 1-5 years attend the kindergarten daily. They receive breakfast and lunch, which is financed by the proceeds of an Advent bazaar in Germany. The bazaar is run by children from a German primary school and yebo Zululand initiativen. An own vegetable garden contributes to the supply. A cook provides simple but varied food.
The children are looked after by 3 caregivers. The kindergarten is equipped with toys and teaching aids. Furthermore, the children enjoy their playground with beautiful outdoor playground equipment. The initiator and director is Mrs Fikile Hildegard Zungu.
In 2022, the kindergarten could be supplied with tap water through a borehole. The water also benefits the direct neighbours to the kindergarten.
