Our key objectives

1. To play an active role in the fight against poverty through capacitating, training, financial support and provision of technical support to emerging or established community development structures. 
2. To help poor communities to come up with developmental initiatives and projects aimed at eradicating poverty.
3. To deepen the education around communities with being innovative, self-reliant and self-sustaining through training and capacity building.
4. To establish stakeholder analysis and networks relevant to initiatives which are aimed at supporting and empowering communities within three district municipalities.

What we do

We are a service provider for the people and groups we support:

• Children, the youth and students
  We support individuals and groups through counselling, accompanying them when dealing with authorities, resolve issues, procure necessary aids and provide financial security for their education.
• Women and families
  In most families, women are sole providers within their families, are paid less, and have to solely raise children. Traditional gender roles places women in positions of taking care of their homesteads and have limited access to educational opportunities. In addition, sexual violence is a major problem in the country. Therefore, the promotion of women is particularly important for our organization. Yebozululand supports rural development and advancement of women through providing education and training. Our social worker offers support in cases of unemployment by allocating unemployed individuals to skills programs that assist them be successful entrepreneurs they ought to be. Counselling and support is also offered in cases of domestic and sexual violence.
• Working groups
  Yebozululand is the organizer, link and supporter of a network of groups. Our task is to support the training, help them with marketing their products and supply working tools needed for running their businesses. Our aim is to create income generating opportunities for group members that will provide them with long-term financial security. The groups which are supported include sewing, upholstery, agriculture and beadwork groups.
• Creches
  The creche’s work largely independently. They are financed directly by Yebo Zululand Initativen e.V.. Only when purchases, building measures or the like are pending, do we help with advice and financing.

Irrespective of this, we help in emergency situations as far as it is possible.
Finally, we are the interface to our supporters, provide information and discuss the general procedures and goals.
