Graduations
Graduations/fashion shows are hosted for learners after they have successfully completed their lessons. This serves as both a promotional and awarding event. The graduation assists in celebrating their determination, keeps them motivated, increase their confidence levels, assist them gain exposure and their work is advertised to potential sponsors and customers who form part of the guest list. Invites are extended to families, community members and esteemed guests which includes personnel from different organisations and leaders within their communities.
Speeches are given and gifts are exchanged. Groups are empowered on the day and doors to new opportunities are opened.
In some cases, different groups combine their graduations with the aim of assisting them gain strength from each other, explore other places and offer them an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals. This also increases chances of creating partnership.
Most graduations are hosted within their communities which assists in bringing awareness to the hardship individuals from these different rural areas are faced with, that one can easily detect just by being in these areas. This also gives community members an opportunity to be part of this prestigious event.
